Don't Eat on Sunday Maybe?

So I was just thinking today, how we Nigerians seem to easily believe every bit of hoax that comes around! its almost like we are craving to believe! maybe it's cos we're always searching for some form of higher power even when only logical reasoning seem to be enough.....

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Here goes!

RED for DANGER! 

Just barely a week ago, a news spread like measles (eww), That a certain Man of God Instructed that people shouldn't wear RED, and I was like 'Oh!, so Death will probably be going around looking for people wearing red to devour or what?!' The Man of God, However denied It, and publicly at that, but that didn't stop our beloved countrymen from believing such Bull. I remember getting a text from my mum earlier that morning not to wear red, well thank God i was already on my way to work then, wearing Pink! anyway, maybe i could have gone back home to change, just to see what will happen! *devilish grin.....I guess no red carpet event on that day too!

2GO or Not 2GO

Oh I remember! just before then, not so long ago too, it was do not go on 2GO! several 2go-ers did refrain, but that didn't stop some ardent followers from doing what they know and love best...apparently, By the way i don't see the fun in that stuff...#just saying! But anyway i can say that most of these people are still very much alive,well the ones i know, Thank you!

 

 

Oh!...COSMIC RAYS? 

Now the latest Hoax in town, trending on twitter and talked about all over the world presently! Luckily Nigerians were probably not the only victims, but obviously more Nigerians would fall victims! wanna bet? 
So I like got a text, which i ignored anyway, from a caring family friend, basically cos i wanna know what was gonna happen, i had my phone on and so close to me!
i remember i was in the middle of a sweet dream when suddenly i heard banging on my door, i struggled out of the bed and to the door only to see my guardian's wife! All i could remember is her telling me to put my phone off and keep it far away from me and apparently at the top of her voice! Fortunately for her i was too sleepy to put up a fight so i just did as instructed. Guess what?! No Cosmic rays! but you already knew!

So...What NEXT?

Someone Somewhere can wake up tomorrow and Somehow come up with Something Ridiculous like say don't wear pants on Monday, Or don't go to the loo on Tuesday, and Everyone(or at-least some people) will once again follow! Learn to ask questions!
